I made this for my
grandson Bryson, who was born with an eye problem. This blanket stimulates his eye site and
I was asked by the school system to make vests and similar items for other vision challenged children in the Hillsborough County School system. The pattern was from a Fons & Porter magazine.

I designed this quilt myself for my son who is an artist- puppeteer and still loves Rowlf the Dog, even at 37.
I used furry Minkie for Rowlf's heads, and various pictures to create the different faces.

I made this quilt for my bosses wife who loves Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean. The pattern and kit is from Fons & Porter's Fun Quilts magazine.
I changed the design a little and put in some of her favorite Jack Sparrow pictures that I printed on
fabric.

Sunflowers, Sunshine & Daisies is a
king size quilt I made for my niece’s wedding. I wanted something special
for her with hopes she would cherish it
and pass to her kids. Pattern design is by
Jackie Robinson, Eureka, MT. My friend at The Quilt Studio in Omaha, NE did the quilting.

I made my Blue And Yellow Quilt in 2006. It started as shop hop blocks, then
I added more
of my own design. It measures 70" x 84".

I used a Baby Einstein panel and matching fat quarters for a quick, play-on-the-floor quilt
for my youngest
grandson, Patrick.

The Construction panel for his older brother, Joshua, 2 1/2, had two identical squares so I used a medallion setting for one square and appliqued the second set of vehicles in the borders. I used a big red zipper to create a large pocket in which I tucked some small, soft-sided construction vehicles that both boys can play with. Pat Farley

I made this quilt for my grandson who is due in October. We are doing his nursery in airplanes and since I love Debra's Raggedy Friends quilts, I made my own center with the plane.
I can't wait to see him play on it.

Block of the Month Honoree

As the March 2007 recipient of the block of the month I asked members to make me a red and white or off-white block in the "cake stand" pattern. I wanted to surprise my daughter, Melissa, who was getting married the end of July with a signature quilt for guests to sign at her wedding reception. The blocks were lovely and I was able to get the quilt put together just in time.

This is a small quilt I made to thank the woman who was the foster mom to our dog Bandit. Bandit is an American Eskimo who was found on the streets of Miami. He had been mauled by other dogs and lost an eye. The Eskies Rescue United representative got him out of the shelter just before he was going to be euthanized because of his injuries. Ms. Kim Weikel fostered him for six months before we learned of his availability. Our American Eskimo, Bruce, had just died and we needed another white friend. The pattern is by Linda Hibbert who has created paper piece patterns for many breeds of dogs.
